At CG Carworks, we recently had the privilege of preserving three exceptional Italian classics, each presenting its own unique challenge. A manual Ferrari 360 Spider, a beautifully preserved Ferrari 328 GTS, and an incredibly original Alfa Romeo GTV6.

Ferrari 360 Spider | The Manual Ferrari Everyone Wants Today
When Ferrari introduced the 360 Modena and Spider, most buyers chose the new F1 transmission. At the time it represented cutting-edge technology and Formula 1-inspired shifting.
Today, the market has changed dramatically.
Modern dual-clutch gearboxes have surpassed the early F1 system in speed and refinement, making the original F1 transmission feel slow and dated by comparison. As a result, enthusiasts and collectors increasingly seek out the much rarer six-speed manual Ferrari 360, regarded by many as one of the last truly analogue Ferraris.
This particular example was exactly the kind of car preservation is all about.
With remarkably low mileage, exceptional originality and healthy paint thickness throughout, we were able to carefully refine the finish and return the Spider to its full glory while preserving as much original material as possible. Rather than chasing perfection, every decision focused on maintaining authenticity and respecting the car's history.
Ferrari 328 GTS | Beauty Shouldn't Stop at the Paintwork
A Ferrari should be beautiful from every angle.
Unfortunately, many classic Ferraris receive years of cosmetic attention above the waistline while the areas hidden underneath tell a very different story. Dirt, oxidation and years of neglected maintenance often leave the underside looking nothing like the rest of the car.
Our objective with this Ferrari 328 GTS was simple: bring the entire car back to the standard it deserved.
The underbody was meticulously cleaned, detailed and preserved until it reflected the same level of care as the exterior. For us, true preservation means that every part of the car—whether visible or hidden—deserves equal attention.
Collectors notice these details. Judges certainly do.
Alfa Romeo GTV6 | Proof That Not Every GTV6 Rusts
The Alfa Romeo GTV6 has earned legendary status thanks to its charismatic Busso V6 engine and transaxle chassis. Sadly, it has also become known for another reason: rust.
Many surviving examples have undergone extensive welding and restoration over the years.
This car proved that the exceptions still exist.
Its remarkably original body and exceptionally solid underside demonstrate that not every GTV6 succumbed to corrosion. Finding such an honest, well-preserved example is increasingly rare, making careful preservation far more valuable than unnecessary restoration.
Our role was simply to protect what had survived so well for decades and ensure that originality remained intact for many years to come.
Preserving Automotive History
Although these three Italian icons are completely different cars, they all shared one thing in common: originality.
Whether it is a rare manual Ferrari 360 Spider, an honest Ferrari 328 GTS or an exceptionally preserved Alfa Romeo GTV6, our mission remains unchanged.
We believe the most valuable collector cars are not necessarily the most restored—they are the ones that retain the greatest connection to the day they left the factory.
That is the essence of automotive preservation.
